Career Opportunities at NEXG2EN
The Role
We are looking for a senior finance leader with deep manufacturing experience to join us as a CFO Partner in Pune. You will own a portfolio of manufacturing clients, act as their CFO, and translate financial insight into decisions that move the business — margin, cash, capacity and growth.
This is a client-facing leadership role. You will be the person a promoter or CEO calls before making the call.
What you will do
- Serve as the fractional CFO for a portfolio of manufacturing clients
- Build the financial architecture: costing systems, product and plant-level profitability, contribution analysis, budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Drive working capital performance across inventory, receivables and vendor terms; improve the cash conversion cycle
- Evaluate capex, capacity expansion, make-vs-buy and pricing decisions with defensible financial models
- Establish MIS and management reporting that leadership actually uses, and strengthen internal controls and governance
- Support fundraising, banking relationships, due diligence and board reporting
- Lead and mentor the delivery team supporting your accounts, and maintain quality across engagements
- Contribute to practice growth — client relationships, referrals and thought leadership in the manufacturing segment
What we are looking for
- CA, CMA or MBA (Finance), with 15+ years of progressive finance experience
- Substantial time spent in manufacturing — plant finance, cost accounting and supply chain finance are second nature to you
- Prior CFO, Finance Head or Financial Controller experience in a manufacturing business is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong command of Indian GAAP / Ind AS, direct and indirect tax, GST and customs as they apply to manufacturing operations
- Hands-on with ERP environments (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or comparable) and comfortable with modern finance tooling and automation
- Able to move between the shop floor and the boardroom — credible with plant heads and promoters alike
- Consultative by temperament: you enjoy solving for several businesses at once rather than one
Why join us
- Work with a diverse portfolio of manufacturing businesses across India and international markets, rather than a single P&L
- A senior, autonomous role — you own the client relationship and the advice, not a slice of someone else’s workflow
- A firm built on senior expertise, backed by structured delivery teams, technology and process
- An engagement model designed around experienced professionals who want scope and flexibility rather than a conventional employment structure. We will discuss specifics with shortlisted candidates.
